Relevant to this thread: I just had another friend (Facebook employee) get approved for the Palladium card today, with no JPM wealth management relationship. He went through pretty much the same thing as the OP – spoke to a banker, said he wasn’t interested in their services (and didn't have enough money to be honest), and got the card anyway.

So a normal person I take it ?

As opposed to a weird person? Smiley Happy He's not a multimillionaire if that's what you're asking. He makes $120k/yr.

lol
Im very far from being a millionaire myself Smiley Happy So I guess i do have a chance with this card.

Haaha. If he is facebook employee, he might be millionaire now. Personally, I took a little bath on that stock. Hurts me whenever I log into facebook.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't join FB until 2010 and isn't an engineer or anything, so pretty much no equity. I have another friend who turned down an offer to be Facebook's 20th employee or so and went to work for Microsoft instead. Oops!
