Re: January is coming, what else can I do to be ready for Amex BCE?

I'm doing the same thing. I just got my green in October and I've run about 2100 through it and probably another 1000 this month. I paid all my cards to 0 except my best buy . I needed TV might pay it before statement cuts. My score now is 683 with with 40% until I'm hoping it goes up with less than 10% until. I want an amex charge either a blue or the spg.
Should I wait til I pay my third statement or it doesn't matter?

Good to see another person in the same boat as me. I would pay down the 40% util to around 10% or less before apping.

I also want the SPG. Maybe if I get approve for the BCE, i'll go for SPG also. Smiley Surprised

It's been a pretty great card.

I also got the green card in October, have been running about 2k a month through it and paying it about a week after the statement cuts...  looking to apply for the Delta Platinum card on Jan 1.

something to think about, even thought you're doing all these things to get approved, it's not going to matter if the soft pull they use was in November.  remember they use the last soft pull to make a credit decision.

Yeah, I was thinking about the same. Maybe someone can also explain. October, my util is about 19% I think. I would rather they have fresh SP before apping, since I have about 8% util now.
