AmEx has by far the highest merchant fees (swipe + maintaince) - my guess is that these co-branded cards are finding out that the AmEx "prestige" really doesn't mean anything.
Couldn't happen to a nicer company IMO (not a fan of Amex).

Yup, when I had my computer business I had fees of 2% from Discover, 2.5% Visa & MC and 4% Amex, see the problem here...

Yeah I do, I have one with a tiny limit, no AF and a backdate of 1978 - that doesn't make me a fan. Probably should ask for a "replacement" card once in a while since that'll cost them a few bucks.
