Re: Jewelry financing or credit card

Kay's does offer credit. I think I had 12 months 0% when I signed up to finance an egagement ring. I believe they mentioned their credit "card" (You don't get an actual card from them) could be used at Kay's and two other jewelry stores (which honestly are the exact same everything in the store, only different names. I looked.)

Re: Jewelry financing or credit card

I got $1200 CL back when I did it. I didn't pay attention to credit back then and all I had was an AU card and some student loans. My income was really low then too. So I'd say it's fairly easy to get approved.

Re: Jewelry financing or credit card

I have no idea. Apparently they do have a card, too. Whatever I did, I was not given a card. Here's a link with more info about "Kay Credit"

Re: Jewelry financing or credit card

I have a Kays and Jared card which share a $5000 limit. Its from sterling bank I believe. They gave me 5000 and my highest cl at the time was $300. They offered 6 or 12 months deferred interest. I hear all click are hp so I never tried. Its worth a shot. My credit wasn't good at the time!

Re: Jewelry financing or credit card

Jared which is owned by Sterling (along with Kay's and a few others) generally offer credit. They also are quite leanient with it imo.

The account is reported as a revolving or option to eq and tu and a charge to ex.

Depending on the amount you speend you can qualify for 12,24, and I even belive 36 months at 0% with 20% down.

Now here comes the catch.

When you use these accounts during the checkout you grant Sterling (everything is through sterling with them d/b/a the store you're in) a security in the purchased item until it is paid off.

One thing that is also great about these accounts is if you go in store you can use a cc to pay your monthly payment (0% and rewards from my cc? yeah!).

Overall I love my Jared's account and use it to buy a new Tag ocasionally.
