@Anonymous wrote:Glad to know i'm not alone in my Sallie Mae fear how long do you guys think it will last? Does anyone know if Barclay is known for nerfing closed cards?
There's little doubt that Sallie will eventually be changed, since most discontinued cards sooner or later are. It could be in a week or it could be in five years. No one knows. However, I'd suggest not worrying about it, as it's not like there's anything that can be done. Just have to enjoy the benefits while they exist.

Why not Chase AARP? 3% on Restaurants and a $200 sign up bonus!
Let me think about it, I am not familar with AARP.

Just got this letter in the mail today 😞. I knew once I saw the forward card on the cover of the envelope it was gonna be for nerfing purposes. I'll probably sockdrawer the card if I can't figure out a way to PC it. Ideally I'd convert to a double cash (which I don't even need because I have a 2.25% card anyways). Now I wonder how long my dividend card will be around until it disappears also.
I've had this card since it was a mtvU card, back in 2008. It was my first "major" card 😞

Got the letter yesterday. I will now begin my incessant hounding of Citi until they pc me to a premier with waived AF for life of the account.
Were you being serious about waifed AF for life of the account? I doubt they would do that. They are very rule-abiding
They may do it for the first year though, but I dont think every year lol.
Just got a letter in the mail saying effective June 4th my 5 points per dollar spent on restaurants/music/movies/books is moving to 2 points.
I knew it was coming eventually. It was a good 5 year run.
I still get 100 bonus points per paying on time if I make a purchase (I hadn't even realized I had this! haha). I think I may try to product transfer to the double cash card though, since 2% is better than the 1.5% I get on Capital One, but I just haven't wanted to open a new card.
Should have read this thread before posting a new one. I just got a letter on this in the mail.
