Juniper CLD

I just got off the phone with a "credit specialist" from Juniper. I spoke with her regarding a decrease in my credit limit. She was very kind and applogtic. She told me that the decrease in my limit was due to the budget they had been given and "everyone" has had their credit affected. She was very outright and positive about my personal credit history with Juniper but stated they had no choice. She also said the CRA's are aware of the current credit crisis and that the cld will not have "that much of an effect". I had to correct her on that---has a big impact when it affects util. I even tried asking for a decreased interest rate to try to balance things and was told I already have the lowest available rate.

Long and short of it is......if you have a barclay/juniper account and havn't been hit with a cld yet, it's probably just a matter of time.

Re: Juniper CLD

I am expecting one on DW's $16K B&N card, and wouldn't be surprised if I got one on my Gas card

Re: Juniper CLD

By the time my conversation was done, I was under the impression that Juniper might be in trouble.

NO, do NOT say that, please!!

I'm going to be selfish as heck right now, but Junny offers my DREAM CC!! There is NO other CC like it and I want it so bad, I can literally taste it!!

It's called Quilter Rewards (I'm a quilter!) and it offers oodles of rewards on fabric and hobby purchases. I gotta have that card!

DH thinks I've been rebuilding our credit to buy a house. Nope, it's been to get THAT card! Smiley Wink

Re: Juniper CLD

Sorry......sad truth is I think everyone is in trouble to some extent these days.

That bailout helped nothing. Most banks still aren't lending and it's like a vicious cycle that won't break. The government would have been better off issuing that money to tax paying citizens who keep this country rolling.

I doubt that they are more trouble than most banks - Barclays is one of the biggest financial institution around

Re: Juniper CLD

Yah....I knew it was too good to be true. I had a 2500 cl with Juny, which evolved to a $3000 cl as well as a second card with a 5000 cl two months ago only to see when I logged in today a cld of $1000.  Like everyone else, I keep a small balance, pay over the minimum, etc. etc., and this is what happens?  Hang in there everyone, it is going to be a crazy ride!!

Re: Juniper CLD

Got a $450 CLD today. My second since AMEX.

I had a $0 balance just a week ago.

This Monday, BT $2500 to Discover Card because my 0% promo ended.

(Juniper has 3.99% for BT.)

I think that's what triggered the CLD.

Gonna call then to try have it reversed. I've BT to Juniper several times last year and PIF within 2-3 months. Hope they'll see that I am a "good" customer. Smiley Happy
