OMG!!! if this has always been the case you would have been my hero about a year and a half ago! its pitiful i never knew about this. thank you though. i now have something new to consider.

I hate HSBC closed my accounts with them last year.

I still have the card and they increased CL to $9500.  Recently, they sent me the card and it is still issued by HSBC. It doesn't look like they're going to sell Cap 1.

FYI - 

 

I have a friend that works at the HSBC branch in Beverly Hills (private banking).  She told me that there are rumors, at the branch, that it will be closing soon, including the one in Encino, CA. They started to lay-off some people already. 

Total CL's combine: $150,600.

all hsbc cards (per credit analyst) explained that ALL hsbc cards will convert to capone on may 1st. looks like i got in just in time.
