Just When I Was About Ready to Give Up on Discover

Today I took a personal day and one of the things I decided to work on were my current cards. I called those who I wish to get upgraded ie WalMart (no luck there), I asked for a few CLI if they were SP. I also found out that my Chase Freedom will never be able to PC to Sapphire I would have to re apply (not going to happen). I tried online for Discover to get a CLI. I decided I would call them again. I've called them before and they wanted to do a HP in which in declined. I felt like the card would never grow. I decided that after another round of heavy use on the card, I would try them again today. 

I was unable to do via automated line. I spoke with a rep. Fully prepared to get the whole "it will be a hard pull" line, she said well you requested $3000 however the system has approved via SP $2200 total CL. Do you want to accept (OF COURSE) or do you want to HP for the original requested amount!!! I'll take the $500 increase!! I'm not too picky. Made my day after all the above rejections LOL. Also I was planning on closing the account if they wouldn't have increased, I guess through some twist of fate they knew that!!

Lol I think calling helps. I called for an apr reduction, was denied and the next time I called it was to ask about something else and they had an apr reduction offer for me in my account
