  What happened when you called?

Back in February, I asked for a supervisor to review my application. I ended up with a hard on TU and another on EX and was still declined.

However, in June I was finally approved with a 688 TU.

Re: Just applied for and received Discover

i just got my discover more card and my scores are below.  They pulled TU for me which is my lowest score.  i think the fact that i have no lates within the last 4 years, no collections in the last 3 years,  and 96% available credit at the time of application definitely helped getting the card.  i was approved for $4,000.
03/2009 - TU: 679 EQ: 670 EX: 670
7/2 - TU: 666 EX: 668 EQ: 673

Re: Just applied for and received Discover

I would definitely wait! Those are very new collections for Discover.

I agree. Discover is just about as finicky as Amex.

I got approved with a collection on my TU report from 2004 though.

I think Discover is MORE finicky than Amex....I was able to get an Amex, but not a Discover.

I think Discover's main thing with me was utilization on other cards.

My EX was 698 when Amex pulled.

Don't know my other scores because I can't access Transunion or Equifax online anymore....they locked me out of their websites because I forgot my passwords and I no longer had the email address I signed up for with those two. Now both TU and EQ want me to fax a copy of my license and SS card...I say NO WAY. Who is at the fax machine. Am I being paranoid?

anyway, good job on the Discover card. they are the new Amex.
