Just approved for Discover MORE!!!!! (with a new high for CL)

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to post that I was just approved for a Discover More with a CL of $8000!!!!  This is my highest CL by a long shot.  My highest CL until now was a jewelry store card with a 4K CL and my highest limit on my majors was a Cap1 with $2500 CL.  I'm soooo excited.  Thanks to all of you guys for all the great info - especially since I got the 30 day message and knew to give them a call because of you all!!! Woot!

Here's some background info on my profile for anyone who wants to know:
I have 6 years of history (Cap1 was first and oldest card).  1% Util. No baddies on EQ, 1- 30 day late on TU and EX from 4 years ago.  FICOs EQ 759, EX 754, TU 743

You should add AMEX or BofA to the mix with those scores!

Re: Just approved for Discover MORE!!!!! (with a new high for CL)

My plans were to apply for Discover, BofA, and Home Depot (just closed on my first house last Friday, and I want to do some renovating although I don't know if it's better to apply online or in person????)  AMEX really spooks me Creditaddict.  I already watch my credit like a hawk on my own, and I definitely don't need anyone else to do it.  Besides, I don't like living on pins and needles when I use my cards.  I was thinking of going for the BofA Amex though, to have a nice spread of prime cards and officially enter into grown-up-hood.:smileywink:

From the sounds of your first post, you manage your credit very well and I would not let AMEX spook you.  Their cards are so shiiiiiiiney

Starting Score: EQ: 665 - TU: 687
Current Score: EQ: 749 - TU: ---
Goal Score: EQ: 760 - TU: 760
