Just did my very first app spree. (Update on P.3)

[ Edited ]

After getting my first scores last night, I went ahead and applied for Amex Green, Discover More, and the Chase Amazon Visa just now.  Originally was going to wait until next month, but figured it wouldn't make a huge difference.  Instant approval for the Green!  Instant approval for Discover More!  30 day message for Chase.  I felt confident about being approved for the Green and More, but was more unsure about the Amazon card so no surprises there.  Should I call a backdoor number on Monday? If so, which do you recommend using?  I know lots of folks here have recon'd with Chase.

I'm not sure what sort of CL Discover approved me for but on the preferences section it asked me if I wanted an alert when my balance reaches $2700.  So I'm guessing $3000?

I'm very happy.  Getting the Amazon card too would be nice but the Green and More were definitely more important to me!

Re: Just did my very first app spree. Results are in!

I just called the automated app status line and now it says 7-10 days.  I'll try a backdoor number after work on Monday!  Maybe I can finagle a teensy credit limit out of them.

Re: Just did my very first app spree. Results are in!

Checked the backdoor numbers thread to see if there was an app status line for Discover so I could find out my limit, but I don't see one.  I'll just wait for the letter :smileyhappy:

Re: Just did my very first app spree. Results are in!

I know! I honestly figured my limit would be around $1000, maybe $1500 max. And I would have been totally OK with that. $3000 was a shock! I was under the impression Discover was pretty conservative with starting limits. I guess they really want me to put away my Cap1 :smileywink:
