Just gave FP the Axe and it felt good

I just got off the phone with FP to close my card and i was surprised that they did try to keep me and i use the word try loosly.  They offered an increase to $450 or no monthly fees, one or the other but not both.  While i still feel that i am rebuilding i feel that i no longer have a need for them anymore and with the joke limit and monthly fees their day had come.  I was with them for about 3 years and just never got around to closing them, i did not have issues with them outside of their low limits and fees all aorund, then again i never really used the card either.

Re: Just gave FP the Axe and it felt good

Yes that one is along with credit one Smiley Happy but they dont charge me monthly and i still have six months to go before the annual fee hits so i am inclined to keep them around a bit longer until i get one more real credit card to replace them with.

If I had to pick between FP and CreditOne I'd have chosen the latter. No grace period!

Didn't even see the CreditOne. That one should be next.

Re: Just gave FP the Axe and it felt good

I actually got approved for both a few weeks ago and as soon as I got the green light from Barclays I axed the CreditOne, I just refuse to be charged interest if I pay on time.
