Just got Cap 1 NH Cash card in mail. CLI increase?

I got my $500 CL card in the mail today. Has anyone had luck with calling and seeking a higher credit limit before you activate the card?

Very rare you get CLI from Cap1. You may want to check and see if its enrolled in credit steps (auto CLI on 5th or 7th statement cut)

This might be a good card to build on and run your normal bills through every month and PIF to get the rewards. That is what I do and I have the same card. Had it for 5 months and have $40 in rewards already paid the AF for the year!

Have this same card as well. Make sure it's enrolled in credit steps. Most likely it will peak at 750CL. Keep it for 6-12 months and then move on to a better card (Chase, Discover, Barclay's, BoA, Amex, CU, etc).

I agree!! There is NO way you are getting a CLI at opening.  Use the card for 12 months and then apply to citi bank or BoA

You are probably automatically enrolled but give them a call to be sure. MyFico has cc contacts in one of the sticked threads. Cash Back is a rebuilder card but it can be the gateway to prime cards with high CL's if used correctly.
