Just noticed on Credit One

I logged onto my Credit One account today and for the first time noticed that there is a drop down menu that says "Account" on the menu to on the left of the online menu with the last 4 digits of my card number like you would be able to select multiple card accounts.

As you know Credit One has only ever allowed one card per customer but with the addition of this drop down any word on them possibly changing policy and allowing multiple cards per customer now with the addition of this new drop down in their online banking?

Not that that's whta a lot of us need is another $99/year annual fee credit card but I did find it interesting why they would add that if it was their policy of only one card per customer...

If anyone wants one, DW has one to give away!

Maybe they are changing their strategy after the CC law earlier this year.

Re: Just noticed on Credit One

Logging into my account a couple weeks ago, I got a pop-up on the screen saying "Congratulations!!! You have been pre-approved for a second Credit One Card!!!"

Of course I did not click on it. I closed my browser and when I logged in again it was not there.

I guess they did change their policy.

Re: Just noticed on Credit One

Multiple accounts = multiple annual fees.  With the pressure on unconscionable fees as pioneered by First Premier, and pressure on APRs (again, think of the reaction to FP's 59.9%), what is a high cost lender to do?

If I open a second credit card, they make a second fee, that isn't included in the APR calculation.  So they make more money issuing me a second $300.00 card than giving me a $300 CLI.

I do have a CreditOne card and a First Premier Card - both will "retire" before AF time.
