I went in with my card that had been on hiatus for years and although the account was still open they did a hard inquiry closed my old account and gave me a new one. The new one they gave me had a limit of 6500. I did not buy anything at that time but when I came back a month later (this was in Dec 2010) they did a soft pull and raised my limit to 7600. I was really pissed when they closed my old account since it was my second oldest account.

Working on a possible theory, those of you who ARE receiving auto CLI's, did you app online or in store?
I don't see how it would make any difference, but why oh why do some of us get them and others not?! Something's missing.....

i applied in store. I also had a balance of 695.00 on the card . Taking advantage of the 12 months no interest. Kind of funny i get an CLI the same month i paid it off completely . But i did get the CLI before i paid it off
