Apparently mine has stayed with the original Signet so it’s still reporting same as normal when I called that’s what I was told

We are also about to apply for mortgages and the closed account dropped our scored significantly.  Will the new account show as an actual new account or use the old start date of the original company?  Will that hurt or help our scores to have that new account with our old credit utilization?  I had a 0 balance so it hurt me to lose that utilization.
