Keep The Faith Everyone!!! Head HIGH!!

Recently after being able to get ZERO new credit accounts for the past 5 years, I've been approved for a number of new accounts.

Discover - $5,000.00 (today)

Amazon - $1,700.00 (yesterday)

CHASE Slate - $2,500.00 (day before yesterday)

Citi - $2,200.00 increase to my 8k credit card AFTER 13 Years with them and ZERO lates EVER

Walmart - $600.00 initially, but an automatic raise to $800.00 after 3 months of my open account

Hyundai Motor Finance - $12,500.00 (after putting $18,000.00 on a 2013 $30,000.00 car)

I've had 2 Capital One credit cards for 13 years and still after 13 years with Captial One, a checking and savings account with them, and NEVER EVER late, they refuse to increase my CL on either card from $300.00 and $500.00 respectively....  They truly suck..  13 years with these jerks and they've never increased my CLs..

My current fico scores are:

Equifax - 708

Experian - 695

TransUnion - 665

Keep the faith everyone.... And hold your heads high!!!

Thanks for sharing.

I know just how you feel. About two years ago we got declined for a $200 secured credit card with our own bank -- didn't even know that was possible -- and we'd been customers for over 10 years. But in the past six months or so we've been approved for cards with limits ranging from $500-6000. Although our prior struggles getting credit are a result of our past failures to meet our financial obligations -- we were both laid off at various times over the years -- it feels really good to finally get an opportunity to show that we can handle credit responsibly.

You should use the EO for the Capital One, trust me it works, I was able to go from 750 to 2000 with a high utilization at the time.  They will call you and try to give you what you ask for.  Look up executive office capital one on the forum.

Re: Keep The Faith Everyone!!! Head HIGH!!

Yes, definitely contact the EO for both of your Capital One cards.  I had mine for about a year and a half when I emailed the EO for a CLI after unsuccessful attempts every 6 months.  I asked for $5000 when I had a $1500 limit and they approved it.  If you do it, shoot high (like $5000 each) - they will probably ask you if there was a lower amount you would "settle" with if they can't give you the entire amount.  In my case, I said $3000 but still ended up with the $5000 I asked for.  You can do a web search for "executive office Capital One" for email addresses.  I sent an email in the evening, got a call the next day and was approved two days later.

Barclays USAir World MC $8300 - DCU $7500 - USAA World MC $7000 - PayPal Extras MC (GE) $5500 - Chase Saphire Preferred $5000 - Discover It $6000 - Barclays Sallie May $2700 - Chase Freedom $1000 - Capital One $8500 (business) - store cards ranging from $500-$9500
