Kohls denial- what does this mean??

I was denied because of:

"High credit limit on open bankcard trades".

WTH does this mean??  My $300 on Orchard or my $500 on Hooters is too high? Ridiculous.

Or is it the fact that I have opened new accts that all (well, 80%) have zero balances on them?

Or is CJ really hurting me now with my new $2500 CL? lol

Kohls seems to be so dag gone difficult.  I have been turned down for many reasons with them, and just can't ever seem to break through.  Have you tried to call and recon with them?

Re: Kohls denial- what does this mean??

Nah, I'm not going to bother.

I just thought that it was ironic that that was the reason given for my denial.

Like I'm the last person who should be getting that denial reason (one of many others maybe but too much credit?)

Re: Kohls denial- what does this mean??

I think they're basically saying you lack a high credit limit on open bankcards - Visa/MC/Disc/Amex.  (This has been discussed before on here, but I couldn't find the post I was looking for by doing a quick search.)

Anyone else?

I agree.  Mostly because the other possible explanation doesn't make any sense. lol

Yup, I applied to Kohls once.  And guess what?  I don't have a Kohls card, nor have I ever.  LOL.

For the 2-300 bucks I spend there a year, I figure I'll take my reward points from someone else.

And another thing -- why is EVERYTHING ALWAYS on sale at Kohls?  Why even have price tags?  Can't they just display the cost and then mark it up as arbitrarily as they reduce the retail price?

(End of rant, ty.)

Re: Kohls denial- what does this mean??

I know, omg, everything is on sale and the stores always look kinda trashy, especially the changing rooms where there are loads of clothes just sitting there.

And yes my rant is 50% mad cos I got denied and 50% because I'm really just not into the store anyway. Out of Kohls, Ross and TJ Maxx, Kohls comes LAST!

Re: Kohls denial- what does this mean??

"High credit limit on open bankcard trades".

I take this to mean the reason is the high credit limit on your open card - $500.00. Meaning your high limit of $500.00 is the resaon for denial (probably that it is too low). It's odd wording, but it make sense if you think about what they mean.
