Kroger had/having a bad 4th quarter.  I'm just saying.

It's not the store that issues the card; RBS, NA.

Re: Kroger CLD

CA . . . After re-reading this post, I noticed that it's a continuation from June.  So, the problem began then.  And, I don't mean to belabor this painful experience but just trying to understand how I might avoid their wrath.  So, if you don't mind . . . another question:

Immediately prior to the first CLD, had there been:

  1. Substantial increase in he balances on existing accounts (already showing a balance)?
  2. New accounts added? (Affecting AAoA)
  3. New balances on accounts that had been reporting zero? (reducing her Debt to Credit ratio)?
Have you called and asked for reconsideration?

Re: Kroger CLD

I know some of those...

Capital One CLD them sometime around that time

Cabelas also closed account

so util did go up.

now since the last CLD to this CLD, Discover CLD $700 but that put that account to 100% (business account, small line)

but Macy's CLI over 4k

and don't believe she has opened anything new in the last 6 months.

if you got CLI, I wouldn't worry about CLD, you seem to be going in right direction

Re: Kroger CLD

Thanks for the follow up CA.  It seems that CLD's beget CLD's and vice versa; CLI's beget CLI's.  Here's wishing you and your mom a safe and prosperous Holiday Season and New Year.
