The mag strip wore out on the back and they are overnighting the replacement -- without me even asking for the quick replacement
In comparison, my dumb bank sent a replacement check card to the wrong address (their fault) and gave me a hard time about their mistake. Second card took several days to replace...

Right on. Although AMEX has its faults and annoys me sometimes with their policies, I have to say that their customer service is the best of all the financial institutions I work with in making life easier for their customers.
