@enharu
I'll hold out abit. So even if I get to 690-700...I should still wait the 4-6 months?
Look at these. Okay so the columns go like this..
Card | State | EQ | EX | TU | Income | Filed Bankruptcy | Date Applied | Credit Card | Approved? | Limit
Now...these scores look rather low. Approved with 597 score for 1200CL with 4 collections? REALLY?
I notice that all of these were all around the end of 2012....wasn't Discover just GIVING these away at that time? I wonder if the same scores would fly now?

There is no way of determining the AAOA of the examples listed. You can apply, you might be approved. I prefer apping when my CR's are in optimal condition

Unless you have some kind of emergency where you need credit urgently, or if a sign-up bonus is about to expire, it's always best to wait until you have the best chance of getting approved. The APR you get will be better as well that way.
Yea...well I'm certainly not applying now. That's out of the question. I don't want to be denied nor do I want them to come back with a $500CL. So I will wait either until I cross the 700 mark OR until I do 4-6 on time, in full payments on my new card. :-)
Don't worry, I'm not going to just waste an inquiry. I've moved my score from 502 to 627 in less than 2 weeks! I'm not going to mess it up with inquiries! :-)
When I applied, my FICO was 714 (no baddies or collections). I only got approved for 1,500. They pulled EQ. Now a year later, my CL is at 2k via HP. Lol. Discover is a conservative lender. They don't like to be the first to give you a high limit.
Wow. That's crazy. My friend has AMEX Platinum.... He applied for Discover with 707 EQ Fico at the time and got 6K limit.
