@snowkitty wrote:That is really strange webhopper.....did you have other GE cards at the time? I have not really read anything negative about them on here. I have 4 of their cards and the latest is Sam's Club Discover and they beat out my highest limit at the time. I was going to alternate charges between the walmart and sams card just to put use to both. I wonder if it would be better to not pif with them all the time? I am about to take them up on a 0% interest Christmas deal they have.
I had JCPenney at the same time which was not closed. I had BBY which was not closed, and I had Discover which was not closed.... I wouldn't say this was a negative experience.. I would describe it more in line with being a surprising / confusing experience.
They didn't AA my account until I paid it wayyyy down. (from like 90% to 40% to 10%) then my balance was set to $100.00

Was this recently? I love the GE cards I have and need them all in their own way.....maybe since I am not trying to get any credit from anywhere anytime soon, I will let some of the balances hit.

Apparently they closed mine the minute it hit $0 balance.
I like how this crazy post turned into something completely different...

Heh heh.
Ok, picture it like this:
Me: I want to borrow some money.
Bank: We like to loan money! Do you normally pay it back?
Me: Not usually, but I PROMISE I will this time.
Bank: Ok, Sure! Here's some money!
Not gonna happen, right?
