I don't think you can send an Amazon payment to yourself b/c you have to give them your soc. sec. # when you set up your payment account (fed. reg. to prevent money laundering) & the person on the receiving end needs to submit his/her soc. sec. # as well. Also, if you have any intention of using this service set up your acct asap b/c it takes a few days- you give them your bank acct # & then Amazon deposits 2 trial deposits to verify that it's your acct. I did it with a friend & even though she set up her amazon payment acct before I sent her a payment thru Amazon it took a few days after I submitted the payment for the money to enter her checking acct.
