Thanks mmtt, but I already have that card. I hate Citibank, but my Diamond card is closed anyway.

Ah... So I might get approved, but for a lower limit... Thanks for the info :-) it's very helpful. I just refuse to pay more than a few dollars in interest. Lol

You might be interested in that non member credit union card I just got my hands on.

Re: Largest balance transfer?

"C'mon SnackTrader... Reveal those Snacks and give me the good info... Don't act like you never have completed a BT ;-)"

I've never done a BT, and I've never carried a balance.

A family member of mine did one through the Chase Slate and received the $0 BT fee offer. They were originally approved for $4k or something, but needed to BT $7k, so they called recon and got their limit bumped up to $8k to complete the transfer.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Re: Largest balance transfer?

Also, the WSJ reported yesterday that NFCU plans to run a no-fee BT promotion starting in September. It will be 12 months BT at 0% with no fee. Not a bad deal if you can get in.

Re: Largest balance transfer?

I haven't! I would be happy to attach statements to prove it, but with 5 CCs it might take a while.

I paid down debt to the tune of $15k+ over the last 18 months, and have well over $5k in my savings. I have no reason to add CC debt to the mix. I make good money and live cheap. I went without CCs for years, and paid everything in cash. Nothing has changed since I got CCs. That is exactly why I preach fiscal responsibility here, because I live it. If I was to carry balances, it would feel wrong for me to advocate financial responsibility because I wouldn't be using those methods in my own life.
