Medical school tuition. ~$25k for a semester.
Can't say it was a SINGLE transaction because it involved three credit cards, but I bought a house.
It wasn't much of a house, but between the three cards and a small loan from a friend, I bought it and got it move-in ready. In all, including imediate repairs after closing, about $13,000, roughly $8,000 of which went on the cards in a one-week period.
Congrats!! House is really a best asset to invest for future. :-)

Thank you NewUser! I definitely got a heck of a deal. Was able to get both the cards and the loan paid off within about six months, too. Mortgage free! Now come years more DIY work, but it'll be worth it. The house is okay and it's on a beautiful lot.

13K PAID OFF IN 6 MONTHS? Nice!! Where the heck you find a house at that price??
Funeral for $5800 on a 1% card.
IIRC, it was about $5k on my original AMEX for a custom stereo...I was about 18 at the time.
$4,500 for new floors. I paid it off within the month. I just wanted the rewards.
