If you haven't heard, the new American airlines has opted to move onward with Citi as its CC partner. This might be the last chance to earn the US airways bonus since they will transfer to AAdvantage. Word on the street (blogs) is that Barclays will convert all US Airways card holders to the Arrival card.
Technically, you could get the current AAdvantage offers too since there might be a major re-branding with new miles offers once the new airline launches.
Happy Churning!
What's your source? Can/Will you post a link?
Judge approved the deal Citi deal.
The potential conversion to Arrival is speculation from points and travel blogs. Its all over flyer talk and other blogs.
Thanks for the update!
Citi AA/US should have a new promo after the merger, like Chase had with the UA cards after the UA/Cont merger. So, those with US Air miles can (1) wait for the conversion; (2) use them now, since they may lose value post conversion.
Any ideas how Barclay will handle this?
Don't see what this has to do with rather Barclay and Citi will offer the credit card moving foward...
We got both Business Citi AA and a Barclay Business USAirways!
What happens to existing Barclay US Air cards? No new apps, but will legacy cards still earn US Air Miles, like the old BofA US Air?
