Hello, I filled bancruptcy 5 years ago. I currently have a credit line of $12,250 with Capital One and owe about $3300...thus have about $8900 in available credit with them. I want to transfer the $3300 to a 0% balance transfer card. Any ideas on a card that might accept me? FYI...Capital One says my current credit score is 683.
what are your Fico08 scores (TU, EX, EQ)?
how many inquiries on each?
is that your only CC?
how old is the card?
1. How do I find out my Fico08 scores?
2. Not sure
3. I have 3 total CCs with capital one totaling 12,500 of credit
4. I think I got the cards about mid 2014
I would try Chase prequal link, Barclay prequal link and AMEX prequal link to start the search. I'm not sure who you included in bankruptcy but that is a good start.
you can google the links and see if you have any offers. A lot of cards have 0% BT offers in the beginning
Oh cool, thank you. I didn't know that you could prequal with cards.

good luck :]
Dude...
You really need to spend some time on these forms and search.
1. Who did you burn in your BK? meaning, what lenders did you include on your petition? For example...Chase, Citibank, BOFA.
2. Depending on who was IIB (included in your Bankruptcy), will depend on who you can really apply too. Not all lenders let you back in, if ever, and some not for years.
3. For heavens sake, Jesus, Joseph, and Mary......GO TO freeannualcreditreport.com, and GET ONE!!! Pull a dang report, and see whats all on there, you'll see you inquiries too, and then purchase your scores here so you know where you stand.
4. report back here with info so we can actually help you. We can't do anything without some basic info that you don't even know.

You can, but please don't take a prequal to mean a guarantee that you'll get the card. The general rule is that if you're offered a stated APR rate (like say 17.99%) and not a range (like 17.99-22.99 depending on creditworthiness), then the offer is pretty solid. But it's still not a guarantee.
Good luck and welcome to the boards!
