I appreciate all the response I have gotten from this thread. It took me a little longer to understand; as I do not know the abbreviations that you use here. But what I am gathering is that it would be best for me to get a secured card and maybe try for two of the "shopping cart trick" cards to hope for two cards with soft pulls to my credit? Would this be the best and quickest way to rebuild my credit? Also... what do I want to look for in limits and increases and methods or time frames of pay backs that would boost the score? and is the capital one card a secured card? is there any recommendations about secured cards? thanks everyone.
