Love this denial reason

I love the ONLY denial reason being "too many inquiries"

On my last app spree I got a few of the 30 day notices and this week received several of the letters this week and most of them were for that reason, and only that reason.  I'm so excited for this simply because when I first started out there was usually a list of 3-5 reasons for the denial. LOL

I was shot down by Citi a month ago for inquiries and that was the only reason they gave like you. They said I could write a letter after I received theirs but never received their letter.

Needless to say I was disappointed but, as you stated, 3 years ago the list was a mile long.

Oh well. could have been worse.

Definitely progress.  Hang off on the apps for a while and next time youre going for Citi they'll have to approve you.  Keep up the good work.

I got declined by Nordstrom for "too many inquires"

I asked the agent "are you sure thats the ONLY reason i'm being declined?"

LOL

i was so happy after that call

I got that too from Citi when I first apped for one of their cards but a lady from their EO called me and said that she could get an analyst to overturn that decision.  She told me to app again for any card that I want so I did and sure enough, I was approved within a couple of days.
