Re: Lowe's Credit Card Specialist Here For You!

No, I am not at all affliated with Credit Solutions, I specifically work at the retail store, but deal very heavily with their credit cards. Customer Service Associates that work under me, do not have any have access to a customer's entire Sync portfolio.

I only get upcoming credit/financing offers approx. 2 weeks before they go public. And $299 is the threshold for 12-18 month financing when that deal is being offered, that amount will most likely never change. The super rare 24 months @ 0% requires a purchase of $1,999 or more, but again, that is a rare one.

To be honest, I do not know the direct, inner workings of Sync, but the word on the street is the blue envelopes of death are sent to customers that Sync believes are clearly guilty of modifying Annual income statements in combination with risky spending patterns that may give them a reason to be bothered by your activity. Frequent and aggressive attempts at raising your current credit line is most likely another big one. Your entire Sync portfolio and the total exposure you hold with them across all accounts is something to watch out for.

The whole process is getting pretty rigorous to the point where it could be compared to AMEX's FR, that's scary.

I will tell you that in-store denials for the Consumer version of the card can absolutely be recon'd and usually can be taken care of by the Customer Service Associate processing your initial application for you as long as you state your case. There is actually a seperate phone number that associates call when contacting the Lowe's Credit Center and are required to state their name, sales ID, store number when connected. Usually that line can handle a recon depending on the situation.

Lowe's Business Accounts can not be recon'd.

I know several post-BK customers that were able to get approved, so I'm going to say that blacklisting isn't a thing with this particular product. Every situation is different, and the underwriting criteria can be very strange sometimes, so I couldn't even tell you what score is "acceptable".

If a credit line increase is requested in-store, it will never result in a hard pull. I recommend that all customers come in the store to request CLIs

I have a greater insight than most into the process of applying and maintaining these cards. But yes, you are absolutely correct in terms of me not knowing the inner workings of Sync. The Blue envelope situations are a mainstream thing that I hear about regularly but again, nobody, not even me knows why those are sent to people. It's as random as sn AMEX FR. Being a member of here reminds me that what I know is useful to the consumers like yourself.

Re: Lowe's Credit Card Specialist Here For You!

Many do not know this but In-Store Pre-Qual's ABSOLUTELY exist, and are triggered by certain purchases in specific departments within the store. When a department specialist is putting together an order for a customer prior to it being invoiced & paid for, they will sometimes be notified via their selling tools that the particular customer is pre-approved for the Lowe's Credit Card. The specialist must provide their unique employee login code to be attached to the application.

No, you can not get the card without a hard pull, that is completely un-avoidable. But as many may not know, an in-store credit line increase will always be a soft pull no matter what.

Re: Lowe's Credit Card Specialist Here For You!

Who would you say is more accommodating on credit issues inside the store the girl at the returns desk or someone in the appliance or flooring sales who is good with putting together large purchases all day long?

Thank you for your input. I don't think I'm alone to give you that friendly nudge when that two-week window on financing pops up thanks a lot

This should be some very useful news for those looking to acquire a Lowes Card.

Especially for those who might have been denied online before.

Thanks for sharing these tips with us

Re: Lowe's Credit Card Specialist Here For You!

When making a purchase for say the 36 or 60 month special financing, do you have to make all purchases at one? Or can it be spread out over a couple weeks or so and still be applied to the special financing terms? It's sometimes difficult to foresee all required purchases for a kitchen remodel etc and requires several trips for a nonprofessional. Thanks
