My husband had a lowe's card approximately 3 years ago. It was closed by the company for late payments. Since then he has been working on his credit and would like to apply for a new Lowe's card. Would they automatically deny him because of this? He was approved before with a score around 580 and it is now 605.

Is it all paid off now and you only had lates back 3 years ago? to be closed it must have been 90+ days late no?
What else is on his reports right now that still has him only at a 605 3 years later?
On a good note, Lowes is backed by GE, and they are one of the more forgiving creditors.
