@Anonymous wrote:So over the course of four days they lowered your APR by 4%, doing it twice at 2%? Wow I didn't know you could do it that frequently. I'll have to give it a shot in a couple of weeks. I can't believe the reps didn't say anything about JUST lowering your APR literally a couple of days right before that. Makes me wonder why they'd approve you for a 21% APR in the first place if they're just willing to lower it 4% within a week of getting your card.
Lowered it again today. 17.24% now! 4/4: 23.24 -> 21.24 -> 19.24 -> 17.24
One reason they may be so lenient on this product is the penalty APR - there's at least one recent thread where someone got hit with the penalty APR (29.99%), and has never been able to get it decreased. Maybe they figure, sure, we'll give you this lower rate if you ask. Just don't screw up. Ever.
5/5!
23.24 -> 21.24 -> 19.24 -> 17.24 -> 15.24%
One more chat and I should hit the lowest published APR.
Congrats on the most recent amazing APR reductions!
Just got Amex and Discover to reduce mine by 3pts and 5pts respectively. Amex told me to call again in 3 months for possibly more reduction.

And, the train stops at 14.49% - Live chat didn't yield another reduction. Guess I should have known something was up when I only got .75% knocked off yesterday. Oh well. I'll try again in 6 months!
