Lowered APR? When to ask?

[ Edited ]

I opened a Bank of America secured card last june.. How long should I want to ask for the APR to be lowered?

I have been PIF every month, but it would just be nice to not be so nervous about a just-in-case-i-do-leave-a-balance scenario.
