Has anyone had any good experiences with Lowes on a recon for a higher limit? I was just approved but only for $300. I applied online.
Thanks

YES, if you just applied like as in now... CALL NOW! you will most likely get front line CSR calling the number out of sticky above, but ask to be transferred to Credit Analyst to reconsider higher limit, don't let CSR submit for a CLI... also they will ask if it is okay to pull credit (they are usualy good about saying this is a soft, and it IS! so don't worry, and ask HIGH, they will counter... don't go asking for $1000 when you might be able to get $5k!

Definitely recon! I was approved online for $500 a few weeks ago and called them the next morning (it was a late night app) to recon. Went through the automated system first then was transferred to a live person. I told them I was looking to buy a riding mower and they asked what I needed- told them $2500 and they gave me $2300. Good luck!

I was approved in-store last year and I immediately called them while standing at the customer service desk, immediately increased from $1200 to $2000. So yes, give them a call!

Well, they bumped me from $300 to $900. I heard the card grows with you. So I will see, don't need the large credit line right now. But will be needing a riding mower later on down the line.
I guess something was better than nothing

I was there today and decided on a whim to apply for one. Got approved for a $6,000 limit. Didn't ask for any limit in particular either. I've never even been in one of their stores before. *shrugs*

Everyone's situation is different, but the potential is there. My DH was approved for a Lowe's card with a starting limit of $300. After 3 months, they bumped him up to $600. And four months after that, they bumped him up again, this time to $6500. It grew very quickly. Good luck, and may yours grow for you as well.

You could probably call the backdoor number on Monday and get that raised to who knows what $10-$20k based on what other kind of limits you have. $6k is impressive starting line with GE I would say!
