Lowe's has some great promotions, and you can get good deals by financing (i.e. 0% for 18 months, etc.).
One word of caution, if you finance make sure it is fully paid before the term is completed. My sister and brother-in-law put $10K on their card sometime last year. Of course, they've been paying the minimum. Now their 18 months are up and they owe almost $10,000 + accrued interest from the start of the loan. All of it at 24.99%...ouch!!!!
+1 The Lowes card is indeed one of the best store cards out there, but it is also inherently evil!! 5% instantly on all purchases is great (though if you buy online and pick up in store you can always save 10% most of the time - just remember using a coupon will invaidate your 5% off) and then 0% for 18 months is one of the best financing offers - 6 month's is way to short IMHO. But remember to divide your balance by 18 months and pay on it, You never want to be anywhere close to paying that 24% interest. Don't use it to carry a balance, use it to pay down a balance!!
