Tried Lowes again today and I was APPROVED for $500.00. Really kinda needed more than that to complete my project. How long do I have to wait before requesting a higher limit?
Congrats

When I got approved for my Walmart card thru GECRB, I called the credit analyst backdoor number for GE 866-519-6441 and got my initial CL increased from 2100 to 3700. I made up a story that I was in store, wanted to take advantage of the 18 month no interest promo on electronics and that the limit I was approved for was insufficient for the item I wanted to purchase . It took all of 2 minutes to get the increase. Tell them the same thing; that you intend to make a large purchase and need a higher amount. Try for $2000 and if they don't approve you for that, you should get a counter offer. I told them I wanted 4000. Got declined for that but was offered 3700. Good luck. I'm thinking of applying for Lowe's in year also but want my bk to age another year. The anecdotal reports are that Lowe's is bk friendly after two years post discharge. Is this about the right time frame in your instance or did you wait longer than this to apply?
