In 2007 I had late payments reporting every month for just about the whole year (rough year) 30,60,120 days late. They eventually closed my account and I made payments and finally paid it off in 2010! I have been working on my credit and finally decided to pull the trigger and see if they would give me a second chance (I needed a new dishwasher, 18mths 0% interest was sooo tempting). Anyway they approved instantly! Only $500, but that's a start (and it covered the cost of the dishwasher)! Tried to recon but failed!

Congrats! I do think that GE can be very forgiving. Treat the card well and try for a CLI in four months. Enjoy your new card, and I hope that it grows well for you. ![]()
