Is Lowes cc a "store" card that hurts your score?

I have never heard of a card that hurts your score. It will hurt your score initially due to theAAOA hit and inquiry but will go back up over time.
It seems I have read somewhere that a "store" card is not looked upon favorably by some lenders. So, I was curious if it reflected on your fico score.
Too many store cards is what you want to stay away from. Lowes is one of the better ones with very generous limits. I have one at $17k.
Hasn't hurt mine and as balfer4 life says, the key is to have a good mix and not overload on store cards.

Thanks for the input. I buy a lot at Lowes, especially with all of the remolding I have done. I should have got a card years ago. Guess I am overly protective of my scores.
Be sure to recon if they don't give you an acceptable starting limit.
You will get $25k easily with those scores.

Maybe that is what I read before, having too many store cards. I will wait 3 months until the dust settles on my Venture card. I am sure I can get a very good cl with my scores. Yes I might add, you have a very impressive set of cards and great scores too.

I hope this doesn't sound bad, but I would be upset if I didn't get 25k with my scores. It has taken me a long time to get there.
