Re: MACYS !@#$fi

Lucky you caught it before it went into a 30 day late. Just a reminder to everyone to check closed accounts for a full statement after closure.

Re: MACYS !@#$fi

So i emailed macys and they gave me the credit and this was the email:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your Macy's account. I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your inquiry and address your concerns.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused to you regarding the interest charge assessed to your account.

I certainly understand your concern regarding the interest charge appearing on your account. I have credited the interest charge in question. Currently your account does not reflect any payment due. You can see the credit for the interest charge online at www.macys.com.

A review of your account indicates that until the statement in question, you had paid less than your full balance for at least one month. That is called having a revolving balance.

As detailed in the Credit Card Agreement for your account, whenever you have a revolving balance, interest is charged on that balance until the day that you pay the balance in full. The interest charge you are questioning is for the days from the beginning of that billing period until the day you paid your complete balance in full.

We received a payment on 01/25/13, which paid that balance in full. Therefore, the interest charge that appeared on your next statement was for your outstanding revolving balance from 01/07/13 (first day of billing cycle) through the date your payment was applied to your account.

If you have further questions or comments, please contact Macy's Credit Customer Service online at http://www.macys.com by selecting Macy's Credit Card, or by telephone Monday through Saturday 9:00am-9:00pm and Sunday 11:00am-8:00pm at 1-877-493-9207.
