I've been focusing on my credit since June of this year, I started by paying off old collections and cleaning upyay CRs a bit, the next step was to add more positive trade lines, in the past few weeks i tried to addthe following accounts:
-Amex Gold, NPSL, backed dated to 2003 - instant approval
-Cap1 Cash Rewards, $2000 CL - instant approval
-Discover More, $1200 CL -instant approval
-Chase Feedom, $4000, called for approval
-Amex BCE, denied
I had the following accounts from a few years back:
1st Premier, $375 CL
Orchard Bank, $700 CL
Wells Fargo, $4000 CL
Im in the garden for a year now. I want to continue to build a solid payment history, these new limits will help with utilization levels, and once they start reporting, I'm going to drop Orchard and 1st Premier.
