Macy's CL ?

I got my new Macy's Red card in the mail today.

Needless to say I was dissapointed to find out my cl is only $100.00 ~

Can I cancel this or maybe call them to inquire as to why such a low limit?

I have no other store cards so maybe is that a reason? I also went on an applying spree and this was number 8 of the night.

Have any suggestions??

keep it, use it wisely and correctly, and let it age --- they will CLI as you use and pay.

I called after receiving the normal $100 credit limit, which they raised to $800 immediately(now $1500). Bloomingdales gave me the same $100 but upped to $1000 after calling them after the initial approval... now $1900. Try calling.

I got my card at $100 and now it is at $200. I am going to call them March 15 th for CLI and see what they say. I guess they give CLI every 3 months.

You want a GUIDELINE increase, not a credit limit increase. Asking for a CLI will cost you a hard pull. A GUIDELINE will not. I called immediately after applying online and spoke to credit department. Was given a $700 and $900 increase over the phone. I didn't wait 90 days... same day as app.

Same here. The day I applied, I called them and they doubled my cl to $600.

If you applied online the $100 is STANDARD.  You have to call in and once your identity is verified, you'll receive a cli.  After the 3rd statement cuts, you should receive another cli.

I appd online and received $300. I tried to get a CLI or GLI on activation but was a no go. I inaugurated the card at Macys in NYC, but a call for an increase then didn't work either. At the 3rd statement, I called for an increase. They said no, because they wanted to see three payments first. But I checked TC the following week and they bumped from $300 to $600. My score was around 640 when I appd.

Like Macys, I have Bloomingdales. At the 3rd pmt, I called and asked for an increase. They said "OK, you're approved for $100 more." So, $300 to $400. Better than nothing.

DW too has Macys. Her score, I think,  was around 620 when she applied at the store. Instant approval of $600. Will ask for a CLI or GLI after this next payment.

I only had a 200 cl..I had the card sock drawered and when I used it they automatically increased cl to 600 bucks. I think they give cl's every few months but you need to use the card alot..which I don't
