Macy's CLI Inquiry

Hey guys,

I was wondering what your personal experience with Macy's CLI's have been. 

Have they usually been HP's or SP's on your credit report? 

My 6th month statement is about to cut soon. My limit has been low (500), but I've spent probably near two grand by now.

At the begining, all hps, last 3 have been sp.

Around what time did you do your first CLI's?

Macy's is my first retail card that I have recvd.  I applied online (HP) and was approved for a whopping $100.  Used it to buy baby clothes for a shower.  Paid it off and didn't use it for maybe almost two months.  Checked online one day and seen an auth increase, was now up to $2000 with barely any use.  Bought little things here and there.  Went online and requested a cli to $4000.  Then within another two months requested another cli to $6000.  Purchased a mattress and headboard along with some other stuff.  Last month I requested another cli.  Now I sit at $10,000 credit line and I've had the card since the end of 2015. The highest of all my credit cards.  Only 1 HP from Macy's the rest were SP.  Macy's is VERY generous with their CLI

Wow that's great! The fact that your only HP came from applying for the card, but the rest were SP's. Has that generally been the experience?

I remember when I opened my Macy's store card, it had a $100 limit, and less than 6 months later it sat at $25k and stayed there until I closed it. More data points recently show they will use a SP already on file, and if they need to do a hard pull they will inform you before they do so.

My Macy's CLI requests this year have all been SP.   It seems that people are having more SP luck lately.   We saw a lot of HP CLIs when Macy's store lines started merging a while back.

I got my store card in oct 16. SL of 300. Requestes a cli in jan 17 and increased to 3800. Just requested another cli two days ago and my limit is 6800. At the time i have an 800 dollar balance. I shop there for polo n Cologne. Lol probably going to the mall today to do more shopping. Btw all increases were sp.

I've had a Macy's card for two years.  I've received two CLIs (both intiiated by me) and each was a soft pull.

I requested both CLIs on the phone so I could verify for sure if they were going to do a HP or not.

i had my macy card since 2014 with a 300 cl ask for increase several times always denied
