Re: Macy's Cli POLICY

Op here. I verified with macys via phone. Sp only. They told me to spend more for cli. I said how can I with 300 limit. I don't wan to max out. She said buy some socks or something and pay in full.

Then will give cli in 6 months. Sp only. Unless you want a very hi cli. So there we go folks.

Not always a soft pull. It used to be though. I asked for a CLI on Macy's American Express. I had EX frozen, and he came back and asked me to unfreeze. I declined. But he did tell me it would be a hard pull.

frozen reports will keep them from getting the sp updates also so that is why he asked it to be unfrozen but doesn't mean it would have been a hp.

Re: Macy's Cli POLICY

They always say it's a hard pull. But in the past year I've had the card it's never been a hard pull once. Not when I call and get a CLI, not when it's declined and not when I added a furniture line. Never once have I had a HP on my credit report since the initial, even though they say it is if I ask.

Re: Macy's Cli POLICY

My Macy's card had a credit line of $100 opened Jan 2015.

Last Night I called for a CLI. Nice lady asked me how much I was looking for, I stated 1,500 would be PERFECT as I am getting ready to start some of my Holiday shopping this weekend.

She asked me if I was looking for 1,400 + the existing 100, or 1500 + 100. I stated 1,400 + 100 would be PERFECT. She asked to verify my income as well as rent/own, then very quickly came back with an APPROVAL for 1.5k.

Credit Karma shows as SP!!!!

I am sorry, but Credit Karma does not show soft pulls. The only way to see SPs is directly with the credit bureaus. All inquiries that show up on CK are HPs.

Good catch... I wasn't even paying attention to that... yeah don't believe Macy's or Bloomingdales does SP CLI by your request anymore since the shift to Citi.

Re: Macy's Cli POLICY

I am aware that CK does not show SPs.
Only CR does.

So No Show of Pull via CK = SP.
