Macy's Elite American Express... If I'm so important to you...

Calling in to check on CLI for my American Express Account with Macy's and I have been Elite since 2008 the first month the account was opened... When I call and type in my account number it comes back and says "Because you are one of our best customers, you can speak to an agent at anytime by saying agent" AGENT!

Call goes overseas.  I ask the guy when the last increase was requested... I was on hold for over 10 minutes and he comes back and says in Jan 2012. I say okay yes and I was declined because it had not been 6 months, I said the increase before that was approved, can you tell me if it's been 6 months since that increase... he then proceeds to go into this mumbling run on statement of charges are based on many things and the credit line may go up and down monthly based on many factors....

I cut him off and asked him what he was talking about.... I got a uhhh....  So I asked where he was and he told me India, so I very nicely asked to be transferred to the US...

Conversation went a little bit better but once transferred but still ended up taking over 30 minutes for a what I thought would be a very simple question....

It had been 6 months... My reports are frozen currently though.

Maybe I'm missing something.  If you're not going to unlock your reports for a CLI, what was the point of calling? Just asking, no offense meant.
