Re: Macy's GLI schedule

Congrats Score, on the GLI.  As for upgrading, I have both.  The Macy's store card is only $1,300 (which is fine with me since I use it very little), but the Macy's Visa is $3,000.  I haven't requested a CLI in over a year.  Do they pull a hard report for a CLI?

BTW, what is the difference between a CLI and GLI?

thanks itsmeagain!  you can request GLI on both every three months like clockwork.  typically internal review (no HP) unless you request an amount that approaches or exceeds your internal limit.  now get to dialing, lol.

Re: Macy's GLI schedule

Congrads on your increases.  Macys is the only creditor so far that I have received increases as well ... and my are also every 3 months.  Have a question regarding how you posted your GLI increases. The way it is worded leads me to believe you found your credit limit history on their website somewhere. Can you provide where you found it if that is true?  Thanks.

WOO HOO!!! . . . took your advice and called.  Got $700 increase on store card to $2,000.  So I says to the CSR; "well, as long as we're on a roll, why don't you check to see if I'm eligible for an increase on the Visa".  He checked and VOILA!! $500 increase on the Visa to $3,500.  BOTH WITH NO HARD PULL.

Credit gardening is mostly boring . . . but sometimes FUN!! . . . . . Smiley Very Happy

thanks cartercorp, sorry you haven't had better luck yet.  there has been a few posts where the person says they can't seem to get the routine 3 month GLI, perhaps this card holder friendly policy is undergoing some changes.

Re: Macy's GLI schedule

thanks PurpleHaze, the language is from a full ex report directly from ex. i don't think the reports from here show this history for each acct in the accounts section.

i've been v. lucky to have received increases from most of my lenders this year already (except amex) but macy's is ole reliable :smileyhappy:
