Macy's.. Hard to understand reporting...

so, let me get this right.. my dad closed the account in 09/2012 and they closed it.. and then in 07/2013 they reopened it, then closed it again in 04/2014.....

Why was it closed the first time? What was the reason for the 2nd closure?  It is shows the time it was closed reported [no data] from the report.

My dad closed it the first time. I have no reason as to why they reopened it for a few months, then closed it again..

He must have asked them to re-opened it.  Macys does not have the authority to open an account for a customer without their consent.  So the reporting based on the info. on the credit report seems about right.

 

The [OK] was when he had the card.  The [ND] was when it was closed thus, no data to report.
