Macy's Store Card upgrade to AMEX

I've hard a store care with Macy's. CL was 300 then 800 then 1800. Now it's back to 1500. I applied thru the text chat for an upgrade and they told me they will notify me in writing within 30 days of the decision Does this mean I got denied outright? Called the Macys number and CSR told me it take 1 full billing cycle for the application to be review --- is this true? Should I lose hope. Scores are EX 674 TU689 EQ689. Recently got approved for AMEX gold. TL increased to 5k from 500 for home depot card/citibank1400 to 2600.

It does seem to take a very long time... I would check back in 2 weeks or so.

I try to upgrade my account last week as well, and they tried to pull hard on experian and it was frozen they call me to unfreeze and I said no. So no upgrade for me. The process only took 5 days for processing but they have to pull hard on experian, i ask them to pull trans union and they said no, well i don't need another hard on experian is very expensive.
