Macy's slashed my CL to $100 also, I called and was told it was due to non activity, I really used it only during xmas, that gave me a reason to go ahead and close my account, I really no longer needed the card anyway, the rep made me an offer to keep me but wasn't going to give me back the $4000 CL that I had, so it was bye bye to Macys

They would re-open my account with a $2000 CL, I didn't even bother to ask if it would be a soft or hard pull, if they weren't talking about giving my $4000 CL back, there was no point..This was one of the first cards I got back in 2009 when I was trying to get my credit back on track, it definitely helped towards me getting my score up and getting better cards, and I liked it since I shopped at Macy's fairly often before I got the card, but it out lived its usefulness and once my CL was slashed, that just gave the reason to go ahead and slash them..

Neither did I, but I looked at it as a sign, it was time to part..Sometimes good relationships have to to come to an
I figure I'll just use one of my other cards when I shop there again, at least I'll get some points or rewards from it...
