Macy's is feeling generous

Macy's is my favorite card.  I applied in Oct 2011 and was denied; I called in (my only successful recon to date) and was approved for a $100CL.  I maxxed it out every month and PIF and after 6 months i called and asked for a $1000CL; they countered with $500.  6 months later I called again and asked for $1500CL and was accepted.  I usually PIF and use it nearly every month, but lately I've carried a small balance (highest reported balance on card is $383).  Several months ago I was approved for a $2000 line for furniture, and last week via live chat i asked for a CL in the $ 2-3000 range and was given a $3000CL.  My most recent CLI resulted in a hard pull, but that's the first one since I opened the account.  By far my fastest-growing card, and has at least twice the CL of my other accounts.  A great card for rebuilding!

Re: Macy's is feeling generous

Macys is awesome! Thanks to them i started my credit path almost 2 years ago....it's the only store account i have on my reports and the fist account i got on my own.... They also started me out with a $100 CL  then they auto increased it to $2000 and then i requested a $1000  CLI which was approved with a SP. I also upgraded my store account to their Amex version and got $6000 CL with a SP too...

I requested the Upgrade via Chat they also told me i was going to get a Hard pull on my Experian report, they also mentioned me it was going to take up to 2 billing cycles for them to make a desicion whether  i get approved or not... In the end, it only took them 4 day to get an answer i called and they said i was approved for the upgrade. I went ahead and checked my Experian report and there wasn't any hard inquiry from Macys...i called them again and asked if they HP my report (s) and they said no because my report looked good enough in their last SP which was made in EQ. They never sent me a score or letter telling me i was approved... just the card in the following next week
