Well I logged on to my account and low an behold I no longer have a red card staring back at me but the Black card with the star. And just below my account info it says:

However, I have spoken with the credit department and I am told they do not delete the major purchase account. I asked nicely and still no luck..............so I guess I need to make a few trips to Macy's so I can utilize the "FREE" services, before my card expires (I don't think I will spend another $2500 this year). The way it was explained is that you pay for the service and it is credited on your account.
Please no more SURPRISES!
